How to get a library card
To get a library card, you need to show proof of address.  All in-town residents or those that own property within city limits may receive a card at no charge.  For out-of-town residents there is a fee of $20.00.  The library card is good at all Saunders County Libraries.
Children age 5 and older may get a card with their parent's consent.
There is no need for a card to use library   research materials.

Copies are $.15 a page, color copies are $.75
Faxes are $2.00 for the first page and $.50 for each additional page

Books, magazines, and cassette tapes are loaned for 14 days with a $.10 fine per day per item not to exceed $6.00.  List price of a book or cassette will be charged for lost or permanently damaged items with an additional $4.00 processing fee.  The fines for damaged books will be determined by the director.  The replacement fee for lost or mutilated magazines will be $5.00.
 
Video tapes and DVDs are loaned for a 7-day period.  An overdue fine of $2.00 per day per item not to exceed $6.00 will be assessed.  A replacement fee for the tape or DVD will be required if lost or damaged.  Cost to be determined by the director.
 
Those who continually have overdue materials and fines, will be limited to the amount of materials they may borrow.  This limit will be determined by the director.
 
No further library items shall be issued on a patron's card having overdue or unpaid fines UNTIL the fines are paid.  Persons who fail to abide by the above policies may be subject to court action for collection of amounts due.
