Employment opportunities with the City of Wahoo:

THE CITY OF WAHOO is accepting applications for two full-time positions:

Water/Wastewater Worker IV

THE CITY OF WAHOO is accepting applications for a full time Water/Wastewater Worker IV. Responsible for semi-skilled maintenance activities for the City’s wastewater collection and treatment system and for the municipal water system. Position requires after hours, on-call availability. Work is primarily performed outdoors, and requires a considerable amount of physical activity, and ability to operate hand and power tools and heavy equipment.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, valid Nebraska driver’s license, ability to obtain CDL, NE Water Certification Grade IV, and Class 1 Wastewater Operator Certification. Position starts at $18.94/hr. Based upon experience and licensing, applicants may be considered for a higher job classification.

Lineman 3rd Class/Apprentice

THE CITY OF WAHOO is accepting applications for a full time Lineman 3rd Class/Apprentice. Responsible for semi-skilled maintenance activities for the City’s electric transmission and distribution system. Position requires after hours, on-call availability. Work is primarily performed outdoors, and requires a considerable amount of physical activity, and ability to operate hand and power tools and heavy equipment.

Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent, valid Nebraska driver’s license, ability to obtain CDL, CPR and pole top resuscitation certification. Position starts at $18.94/hr. Based upon experience and training, applicants may be considered for a higher job classification.
