How to get a library card
In order to obtain a library card you must bring with you a photo i.d. and current proof of address.  Those 14 and younger need a parent/guardian signature with the above mentioned proof of identity.  Residents outside the city limits of Wahoo will need to pay $20.00/year for a library card.  Those outside Saunders County will need to pay $25.00/year. 
 
A Wahoo library card is good at the following libraries:
      Ashland
      Ceresco
      Mead
      Yutan

 

 


 

Copy and Fax/Scan Information
 
Copies:
      $.15 a page for black and white
      $.35 a page for color
 
Faxes are $2.00 for the first page and $.50 for each additional page
Scanned documents are $.25 per page

Fines
 
Books, magazines, audiobooks are loaned for 14 days with a $.10 fine per day per item not to exceed $6.00.  List price of an item will be charged for anything lost or damaged with an additional $4.00 processing fee. The replacement fee for lost or mutilated magazines will be $5.00.
 
Video tapes and DVDs are loaned for a 7-day period with no renewals.  An overdue fine of $2.00 per day per item not to exceed $6.00 will be assessed.  Lost or damaged items, see above notice.
 
Items from the Toy library are loaned for 14 days with a $2.00 per day fine not to exceed $6.00.  If a toy is returned smelling like smoke but can be cleaned, there will be a charge of $5.00.  If the toy is lost, damaged including not being able to be cleaned, then full replacement value of toy plus shipping and processing will be assessed.
 
Those who continually have overdue materials and fines, will be limited to the amount of materials they may borrow.  This limit will be determined by the director.
 
No further library items shall be issued on a patron's card having overdue or unpaid fines UNTIL the fines are paid.  Persons who fail to abide by the above policies may be subject to court action for collection of amounts due.
