City Treasurer/Human Resources Coordinator

The City of Wahoo is hiring for a newly created position of City Treasurer/Human Resources Coordinator. This position handles many of the financial responsibilities of the City including accounts payable and much of the monthly financial reporting for city functions (does not include utilities). In addition, this position is responsible for the bi-weekly payroll process for all City and Utility employees. As the Human Resources Coordinator for the City, this position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable state and federal laws pertaining to employment, and assists in coordinating the hiring and firing process. This position will not include handling personnel issues. A description of the duties and responsibilities of this position are available in the following job description. This is a 40 hour per week full-time position.

A qualified applicant should have a two-year degree with a major in accounting, finance, business administration, or public administration and three years of responsible office experience or closely related work, with a minimum of two years in finance and payroll preferred or an equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities. This position is slotted in Pay Grade K with a starting pay of $24.55 per hour.
