ASSISTANT STREET COMMISSIONER
The City of Wahoo is currently seeking an individual to fill the role of Assistant Street Commissioner.
This position is responsible for performing and assisting in the supervision and coordination of various maintenance, repair and construction activities for the city streets, storm sewers, cemeteries and other city owned land. This individual will be required to perform duties on an on-call basis, as needed.
A qualified applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED supplemented by two years' experience in the area of public works, related field or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. This individual must possess a valid Nebraska commercial driver's license at the time of hire or have the ability to obtain a CDL within a time frame established by the employer. Must poses a Nebraska Department of Agriculture pesticide applicators certification (commercial rating) or the ability to obtain certification within a time frame established by the employer.
Pay scale for this position begins at a rate of $25.74 per hour and tops at $33.45 per hour over nine steps.
